Setting up Static Ip's?

    i need help in setting up static ip's on a WRT54GS with "Firmware Version: v4.71.1, Hyperwrt 2.1b1 + Thibor15c" firmware.

    im wired and my laptop is wireless.

    i tried what i thought was the way to do it but im at a loss.

    for the static IP address assignment you need the mac address of each PC. if they are windows based PCs goto Start, Run, type in "cmd" (without "") then at the command prompt type in

    ipconfig /all

    you'll see the mac address like so:

    Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-16-F2-77-57-2E

    now you need to replace the - with : like so:

    00:16:F2:77:57:2E

    use this with the Thibor15c "Static DHCP" page. choose the IP address you want and add. dont forget to save settings. once you have done the static entries, reboot the router.
