    Setting up WMM over WET?

My setup: using latest victek's fw, i have router 1 (which connects to cable modem) in AP mode, router 2 in WET mode. i have a voip phone that supports WMM and was wondering if i have to set WMM mode on both routers, or only router 1. also, does turning ACK on/off make a difference?

I'm getting some disconnects, but not sure if it's coming from WMM mode vs qos issues.

I'm getting weird results like unable to connect to Router after enable WMM on both Tomato and BCOM 802.11G card.
I've no idea how the WMM implemented, and how it works with QoS settings. So keep away with it, i recommended.

yeah, i think that might be prob too. altho i wish i could use it, b/c my wifi phone supports it, and i would think WMM would use less power.

If you're using a T-Mobile "HotSpot enabled" phone then yes, WMM does allow some power saving on the phone. Not a huge difference but some improvement.

I've used every one of T-Mobile's "HotsSpot enabled" phones on my routers (WRT54G-TM reflashed to Tomato since the early days) and have no problems with WMM 'enabled' / no ACK 'disabled'.

There was once also a note suggesting that Beacon Interval '50', Fragmentation Threshold '2304' & RTS Threshold '2304' might be optimal settings. They work for me, I don't know how optimal.

thanks for the reply. have u also used WMM w/ multi routers in a WET or WDS type setting? i think WMM might be causing occasional drops between my 2 routers.

looks like things are relatively stable after i use wds + ap instead of WET.
