I am using wrt54gs with firmware 3.37 and this is my first experience creating a network..

Now the problem is I am using a service called NTC communications. USA virginia Blacksburg (virginia tech students know well what I am talking about.) they have no customer support capabilities...

So when I first tried to install the cd that came with my WRT I got an message that says : your computer is not connected to internet.

I said, oh ok I do not need the software, I can configure it myself.
I called ntc, got a new access number set up the WRT and it worked. I did set it up.

But now I have no idea on how to install new firmware or if I did setup my network correctly. I would appreciate any help on how to setup it using proper software when you are connected using regular cable service.

But this is not the real problem.

I am trying to configure the port forwarding for Bit torrent . I did forward them to 6881 -6889. My download speed was about 1kb/s and now it is 2-5kb/s. We can say it augmented but still it is nothing. What else can I do to increase download Speed!
