Shibby 106 / Asus N16 - stealthMode not working

    Hi there!

According to the changelog, Shibby's release 106 should add a stealthmode option for the N16. However, after executing the script (over an ssh connection to the router) the N16 still emits its blue light. Restarting didn't work, either.

Could it be that the stealthmode does not work for the N16?

Wait for V107, it's working there

    Really? Awesome!

Out of curiosity: where was this posted, I did not see this announced anywhere?

N16 is a strange router because he`s blocking some et command like turn on/off lan leds. Not always but very offten.

    Try execute this command first:
and then stealthMode on. Should help.

This "trick" will be added to v107 :)

Yepp, this worked like a charm. No more blue light. I can't tell you how awesome that is, I found the blue light irritating to no end. Thanks a lot!

I just use this script in scheduler and it works great!

    21:30 everyday

    gpio enable 1
    wl -i eth1 leddc 1
    et robowr 0x00 0x18 0x1e0
    et robowr 0x00 0x1a 0x1e0

    6:15 everyday

    gpio disable 1
    wl -i eth1 leddc 0
    et robowr 0x00 0x18 0x1ff
    et robowr 0x00 0x1a 0x1ff

Interesting. I just tried this to turn off the LEDs.

When I put it in the scheduler, only the LAN/WAN LEDs shut off.

When I put it in "Init" scripts, only the Power and Wifi LEDs shut off.

I end up running the command twice, once in "Init" and once in the scheduler in order to shut all 4 lights off.

    Has anyone else experienced this?
