Shibby 114 on RT-AC66U - bug with multiply SSID

    Hello all.
I stuck with the problem of using more than 2 SSID on AC66U.
Authentication doesn't work on third SSID.
I mean, I use different SSID for 2 Ghz ad 5Ghz, so auth doesn't work for SSIDs created for 3rd bridge.
I can connect to third SSID only if auth. is disabled - so it's not an option.
The bug is pretty old (was reproduced since ver. 107) and was described via link bellow.
    http://tomato.groov.pl/?page_id=334&bugerator_nav=display&bug_project=1&issue=19

My question is if some of you faced the same issue - may be you found a workaround.
I'll really appreciate any of your advice.

I can confirm that a third VIF does not work with anything but disabled security.

    Hey Shibby.
    Thank you for answer!
Sorry, there was my fault - I didn't explain the problem correctly,
That's why you hadn't replicated the problem.
2 bridge work just fine - The issue starts happen when you add 3rd bridge,
so there should be 6 SSID all together.
You cant connect to SSID that is "linked" to 3rd bridge.

    Hello Shibby.

Was there a chance to test how AC66U works with 3 bridges (VIF)?

Guys, PLEASE, do not leave me alone with this issue!
    Anyone ?
Is it possible to check/fix anything using "nvram set" ?

Get a cheap router and use it as a wireless AP as a workaround.

Well, thank you for great advice.
Just can't understand why such good idea didn't come to my mind.

However, I prefer to wait answer from developer :)

I understand that nobody must fix that, so I'm just waiting if Shibby can test the bug.
Based on his tests I expected that there would be 3 types of answer.
    1. Here is quick workaround ... (some nvram command, or some other hint :) )
    2. yep, this is a bug - I would say it could be fixed in next release (or so).
    2. yep, this is a bug, but it has a really low priority bug , so I dont even know will it be fixed or not.

It's not specific to shibby's mod. The multiple vlan and multiple ssid's are teaman's features that was developed and put into production in early 2012. However teaman no longer works on the firmware and unless there is a showstopper bug, the dev mods have not touched this stuff.

I see your point now. And thank you for the link.
My concern is that 2 VIF works like a charm, and 3rd VIF works also, but only using "open security".
I found several "interesting" commands reading your link , so I'm going to test a few ideas ...
    Also, wiki says that:
Does this mean that I need to setup
    nvram set nas_alternate='3'
if I want to have 3 VIF running ? :)

    Hello Shibby.
Sorry for bothering you again, but have you any words about this issue.
Could it be possible to fix it ?
    Thank you in advance.

    Anybody, besides Shibby? No?
I cant believe that no way to fix something that could be replicated quite easy... :(
I mean, I understand that if I need that I must fix that myself, but ...
Simply, just got huge headache because of this problem , so trying t think what to do next :(

    Hmm,
Just find out one RT-AC66U that was installed 6 mounth ago :

    Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-112 K26 USB AIO-64K
    Built on śro, 31 lip (Jul) 2013 12:41:05 +0200 by Shibby, http://openlinksys.inf

3 VIF has been working on it - Nice suprise.
However , tomato-RT-AC66U_RT-AC6x--112-AIO-64K.trx was relesed at Aug 16th.
So the Question is - What had I been installed on that AP  ???
A kind of none original soft that is working as should work original one? :)

    Same problem in tomato-RT-AC66U_RT-AC6x--116-AIO-64K.trx.
Most likely, it's hardware-related issue. I got an info that 3 VIF works on E3000.

Hey Shibby, any news about this?

Hi. I am also having the exact same problems on my Asus RT-N66U. In every release after 112, only 2 VIFs enabled works as it should! With a 3rd set up, the 3rd only works with disabled security. (Client are unable to connect otherwise)

    Any updates on this?
