Shibby's firmware spindown problem

    Hi guys,
    I notice that my RT-N66U router is not setting the HDD in to idle mode while is not in use. I have a WD 2TB My Book series, that it has a light on front and depending how the light blinks is the mode its on. Therefore i can tell is not going in to idle or sleep mode. BTW.. i do have HDD spindown setting on.

    Also I have a suggestion that it could be cool and useful. We should have more information about the HDD like the similar display we have for UPS monitor.. Not exactly but as a point of reference maybe these way we can see HDD temp, spin speed, total space used / available, ect..

    Total space, space left, space used - it would be good, but temperature is useless and I think it is not easy to implement it to tomato... A lot of different hdd etc, but maybe I am wrong

    A lot of that additional info such as temperature isn't always available over a USB to SATA bridge - not all USB bridges will properly pass SMART commands to the HDD.

    Thank you for the feedback, i still think it would be awesome and useful to have more info "space available" about the hdd thru web gui..
