Hope everyone is having a good 4th of July, I'm just sitting around playing with wires. This is my first post here, I've been lurking for a long long time. I currently have an Asus RT-N16 running Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-093 K26 USB AIO by Shibby. I had changed from Toastman to Shibby about 3 weeks ago, just playing with different features. I like the pie charts, what can I say. Within the past couple weeks, I downloaded inSSIDer to see what kind of mess my neighborhood has got going on, and I was a little surprised. My network is not on the below graph, just showing the survey. Not too many people here abide by the 1,6,11 rule, nor do they think that narrow would be better. I'm thinking that a door to door might be in order, but I'm afraid those that changed to the "off" channels would think that they know better anyway. On to the signal drop part of my post - Before anyone says anything, I just realized that after doing an NVRAM clear it defaulted to "Wide" Channel Width. I normally don't run this config, I tried a full restore and clear prior to posting this. However, this problem still occurs regardless of the channel/width. Just a couple hours ago the wireless was dropping so badly that all clients would continuously get disconnected every few seconds. Sorry for the long winded post, looking for any suggestions as far as channel selection and what may be causing my signal drop. Thanks in advance for any help!
