I have 2 WRT54G's bridged together. I was using a usb adapter to connect to the first router. The first router is about 600 ft away with an external antenna pointed towards the second. With the USB adapter I was getting a signal strength of about 55 percent, but my rate was about 11Mbps. Now with the second router I am getting a signal strength of about 35 percent but a rate of 54Mbps. It appears to be faster with the second router versus the USB adapter. I am running DD-WRT on the second router. Does anyone know if there are any settings that would improve signal strength. I have turned up the Xmit to 70 mW. Any Ideas?
