    Hello all,

I tried to find some answers but with a forum so full of info, I spent hours reading QOS threads but with no real solution for me.
to begin, my lan is full fixed ip's, linksys e3000 and just upped to 1.28.0486 MIPSR2-Toastman-RT K26 USB VPN

I use voip service via a pap2t and my wan connecion is ppoe wimax 2 méga in théory

I understand basics off this qos thing but the problem is . even if I use the 80% rule for BW settings, this is pretty useless in my case since my BW is jumpy, with moments I only get 25% of the bw since the antenna we share is overloaded with moments, .... rules wil work but since the BW is not reliable, rules can't be neither....

basically what I look for is something very simple. I don't need all the shaping pro type.

I'd like just to allocate bw for voip and leave all the rest as is. For as much as I could measure if I can allocate like 150 kbit/s up/down to the voip ... most calls will be clear and crisp. Today we need to stop surfing since during a call we crush voip with wathever request we do like surfing ...

started to play with bw limiter but honestly, not getting what I want really. Somehow I must do things wrong. Didn't find any clear explanation and that is most probably why I miss my goal.

Let's say simple, allocate 150 kbit/sec to an ip and and all that is available above (depending hour/day) can be used for all the rest (no priority) Just want to keep the voip BW ...

any link, advice for me ?

    thanks a lot
