i have discovered a bug in 16b that will get you kicked by your ddns provider if you are using it. the way for you to check is: "cat /tmp/ddns_msg", if this is ddns(or zone or tzo)_nochg, this means that it is trying to update and ddns provider is saying not necessary. this is abusive behaviour. if ddns_msg says "dyn_noupdate" or it's equiv in tzo or zoneedit, it means that ezipupdate is checking the cache and not updating if it doesn't need to. you also need to check the value of "nvram get ddns_update", if it is "0" it's fine, but if it's "1" you will need to enter the command "nvram set ddns_update="0"; nvram commit" to set that variable to 0 and prevent abusive updating. i will have a new firmware out tomorrow or the day after that fixes this. it's also possible that this bug does not affect this version as i have been modifying ddns's behaviour here, but best to make sure though. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused Carl.
