SLM224P PoE issues

    Hi all,

    this is my first post :)
    I am having troubles with Cisco (ex.Linksys) switches, SLM224P-G5, to be exact. I have installed at least 50 of these in the last 2 years, and connected many of VoIP phones to them. Recently, new series is not only rebranded Cisco but added some new features, like broken PoE on all ports. It is not just one switch, I tried 4 of them. They just don't power on the phones (Cisco SPA504G or 525G or even some other brand). Latest firmware, not much to configure in options, except for priority of the port. On one of them I got to power 2 or 3 of them (out of 12) but when I power cycled the switch, it didn't turn them on afterwards.
    Any info is helpful. I'll be returning them to the distributor, but I think this is the fault of this series. At the moment, I'm looking for alternatives in other brands, but I've been satisfied by now with them so I would really like to find a solution to this.

    SLMP224P switches are known to exhibit PoE problem after power outage. Rebooting the unit from Admin->Reboot menu item should bring PoE ports up.
