Slow accessing HTTP server internally

I bought a WRT54GS v5.0 today and running the latest firmware v1.50.5 to replace my old router. I have an HTTP server behind the router. I tried to access the HTTP server (eg http://www.domain.com) from another LAN workstation, the page loads very slow. If I access it using internal IP (http://192.168.1.5), the pages loads fast. Linksys tech support suggested that my DDNS is the issue. But when I switched back to my old router, the problem went away. I also have VNC configured in the server and it's slow too when I access it using domain name from another LAN workstation. It seems to me there's some kind of bandwidth limiter accessing from LAN goes out to WAN and back in the LAN, but I don't see such feature in the router. Please help.
