I just replaced my wrtg4gs with a wrt54gx2. I also upgraded the firmware. My problem is with cable broadband. with the 4gs and linksys wireless g usb adapters I was getting speed of 2800 kbps but after switching to the 54gx2 speed dropped to 300 kbps. What happened and how do I get my cable speed back (charter pipeline)

you mean Kbps and the answer is switch back to th eother router until the firmware is patched.
