SNMP on WAN side with DDR-WRT

I know that this firmware enables SNMP on the WRT54G so certain stats can be read out like bandwidth etc. Like in most cases, this snmp data can be trapped from the LAN side of the router. Would it also be possible to make the snmp data available on the WAN side ?

I installed the router at home and would like to read out the snmp data from work (since we have all the tools needed already installed here).

    Thanks & Kind regards,
    DrBob

If you add the following to rc_firewall, SNMP requests (UDP on port 161) should work from the WAN port:

    iptables -I INPUT -p udp --dport 161 -i vlan1 -j ACCEPT
    iptables -I FORWARD -p udp --dport 161 -i vlan1 -j ACCEPT

The easiest way to do this is to enter the commands one by one into the command window via the http inferface and click 'save firewall'. Reboot the router and it should work.

Apologies for the late reply but thank you very much :thumb:
By doing this I can finally check everything I need to know from work.

Is there a way to do this with rflow?

the easiest way is always to disabling firewall, but this is not important for rflow since rflow does not receive requests. its sending out
