SNMP is a CISCO protocol for monitoring (and controling) the WRT54GL router.
It is an easy way of bandwith monitoring. As client you can use: http://www.paessler.com/

    At the moment I am testing NET-SNMP 5.1.4 with snmp-v2. see: http://www.net-snmp.org/
If it works good then it will be a part of a future release.

    My question:
If you like to use it, which client software would you use?
If you use snmp, which client software are you using?

    Thanks for the reply,

But, it isn't implemented in the current release, first I need more info.

The question, do people use or need it?

I use it. With MRTG. Very useful to visualise what happened in your network.
