Why is the NSLU2 so slow when accessing a drive via the mac? It sometimes takes over 5 minutes just to see what is inside a folder using the mac's finder whereas when accessing the drive via the web interface it's really fast. what is going on?

obviously when using programs such as retrospect i have the same issues of slow speed. it seems that the interface between osx and ext3 is really sow.

I've been using an NSLU2 for a couple of months now, and don't see this behavior. I don't think I have a solution off hand, but just wanted to let you know that that shouldn't be the default behavior.
