    I'd like to run VPN on a Windows2000 machine, I currently am running my WRT54G v3.1 w/ dd-wrt v23 (build 12-10-05).

I've never setup VPN before so I'd like the easiest most user-friendly solution please.

I'd also appreciate it if someone can point me in the direction of installation and configuration help also.

    Thanks,

Your setup description and requirements are a bit confusing. Is your intent to setup a VPN between two Windows systems, your W2K and another remote system? Or are you asking about a VPN solution to connect your W2K box to the Linksys router?

If the former, then you shouldn't need a VPN component on the router -- just implement VPN passthrough by selecting Security->VPN on the Linksys menus.

If the latter, then just use SSL or SSH. Enable https in the Administration -> Management menu and/or sshd in the Administration -> Services menu Then, connect to your router either through HTTPS in a web browser or SSH in a terminal emulator.

If I have misunderstood your requirements, then please elaborate.
