Hey guys, first time post but I visit this site ALL the time lol.

I recently setup a NoCat Auth wireless gateway to act as a hotspot for our clients at work. Just check this pic out first then you can understand what I am trying to do.

On the left is our office building, an on the top floor in a window is a WAP54G running HyperWAP boosting the signal to 84mw. In the middle where you see the signal bouncing is an alley in between our two buildings.

The problem is both buildings have VERY thick brick walls, and the only way to get a stable connection in the far right building is to get infront of a window.

In the alley with the tables it can serve customers just fine, the signal bounces around and I get a good 50 SNR standing anywhere in the alley. But again, in the far right building I cant get a good connection

If you look at the image again, and see in the right building the window. My plan was to stick another WAP54G there, maybe with a big omni and set it to be a repeater.

This is my best plan so far, maybe someone with more experience has a better one? I thought I would ask here before I shelled out $60 for another AP.

Sounds like a good plan to me. :thumb: (You could also use a WRT with custom firmware instead of the WAP. That's what I usually opt for but that's just because I like the additional flexibility the WRT gives you.)

    Good luck.
