Hope that there are backups
Wow that sucks guys. Hopefully they have backups...unfortunatly it won't stop it from happening again. PHP-Nuke is full of security holes and stuff that allows things like this to happen fairly easily. If I were the site owner I would drop PHP-Nuke and use something like vBulletin 3.5 with vBaCMPS 2.0 while it may cost more money, it will prevent things like this from happening again in the future. While this may not sound pleasing and plausible, my opinion alone won't sway the masses, this is just my 2 cents. You arn't the first PHP-Nuke site to get hacked and I'm sure you won't be the last.
there's some side profit of Vbulletin
you can use wiforums, and make additional layout for pdas
I appologise for the hack, we do take this seriously. we do try to keep up with the latest fixes on nuke and sentinel as much as i can. obviously someone had better things to do with their lives than enjoy the christmas spirit
I am howver thinking of moving to vbulletin in the near future.
our backups are done regualry, and we should be 99.9% ok, but a few days. dont forget i want to enjoy xmas as much as everyone else (except the hackers of course.)
