    Hi,
Ok so here's the story (in short). New router in duplex that's shared. Other guy pays the lions share so the 2wire adsl modem/router stays.

I'll be getting a wire run to my wrt45gl but for now it's all wireless. Problem is that the 2wire is sketchy at best when it comes to multiple wireless clients and NAT translation is especially a problem under load.

What I'd like to do is connect my router via wireless to the 2wire. Then set my router to the dmz zone (should remove all ports and NAT translation).

Then I'd like to have my WRT serve both ethernet and wireless clients. Utilizing QOS etc (so skype and torrents play nice). And the ability to use alternate DNS servers again would be nice.

I'm looking to get pointed in the right direction. I'm currently on tomato but happy to move to dd-wrt if needed.

From what I can tell, WDS - AP might do what I need?

Any help and guidance would be apprecieated.

    thanks
    Stuart
