I am trying to find out more about the firewall used in Talisman.
Could anyone please tell me, if its based on any opensoure software and if theres's any documentation on it, or if sweasoft actually created it themselfs from scratch?

    Thanks.

The Firewall in Talisman is mainly using iptables with some L7 filters for service blocking. It's not very different from the firewall used in Alchemy and DD-WRT. When you login to the router with SSH or Telnet, you can see, that everytime you add a port forwarding rule, this rule appear as a new iptalbes rule.

Both, iptables and L7 are opensource projects and you can find plenty of documentation on their homepages.

As far as I can remember, Sveasoft is using an additional common tool or kernel patch for traffic priorization. I can't remember the name, but it's also opensource. Probably you can find the name of this tool/kernel patch by searching here in the Sveasoft forum.
