Specific QoS (Basic) Need - Which Firmware?

I have just started using a Linksys WRT54GS v1.1 router. I have a very specific qos need, and want to know if it is possible and which firmware I should use. Right now I am using the newest official linksys firmware, and it cannot do quite what I need regarding QoS. I don't (yet) need many other features then what is already here in the official firmware. But, is there a way, to limit the total download (incoming) bandwidth PER PORT. What I mean is, lets say I have a 3 Mbit down / 384 Kbit up. I know I can set my "up" to 310 (80%) Kbit, which will keep all outgoing bandwidth from any computer limited to 310 Kbit. But what I want to know is, can I limit the downstream per port. I.E. out of my 4 Mbit connection, I want only a MAX of 1 Mbit to goto port 2, regardless of whether the rest of the bandwidth is being used. The port 2 has more than one device on it (connected to a switch), so I can't just do an IP limit (if that is even possible). I do not know all the ins/outs of all the different open source firmwares out there, but if anyone knows of any that will allow me to do this, please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Thanks
