Speed is not 54mbit

    Wrtg54g V2.2
    So my Problem is i habve only a Speed of 2000kbits in Network AP Mode but is think it must b more.....
    Link Quality 100%
    Signal Strength 100%

    I dont know what the Problem is maybe somebody can help me here
    btw its with every Firmeware....

    if you get 2meg a second, then welcome to wireless... thats perfectly fine speed

    Its just marketing remember this ? "up to" 54 MBps


    If you want those 54 MBps you need better antennas (or stay close to your Access point but with line of sight)


    also you need a good link & signal quality

    Like Mattias said - if this (non-issue) isn't specific to DD-WRT, why have you posted this in the DD-WRT category?

    This forum is much more appropriate.

    Also, you could have easily answered your question yourself simply by using the linksysinfo.org search function, or Google. I not trying to be a dick, but if there's one thing the Web has taught me it's that you learn much more if you stop relying on others to spoon-feed you information.

    Then what's the point to be in wireless, use a cable, you'll get better speed ;)

    My internet is 7mbit and I get 7mbit using my wrt54g and two cheapo airlink 101 network cards. At first I only got about 2, but Windows update had Ralink drivers (thier the ones that make the chipset) and now they work perfectly.
