    Product: WRT54G v5.0

Issue: I'm using a downloading app. Which need specific ports forwarded to my computer thats connected by air. The issue is after the DHCP lease is up it of course changes my ip to something different.
Then I have to go into the config page and change the ip accordingly.

I'm guessing this, Correct me if I'm wrong. If I turn off the DHCP server . Then, Configue the computers to have a specified IP, 255.255.255.0 subnet, Defualt gateway of 192.168.1.1. Will that stop the Ip address from changing after the 1 day lease? Or would I have to connect it by wire only? or what? Any feed back would be good. Thanks for all the help.

It's easiest to leave your router alone, and just give you computer a static IP address outside of the range of the DHCP addresses, like 192.168.1.200.
