"static" ipv6 advertisement?

I've set up my tunnel from HE (tunnelbroker.net) and it's working fine.

Now, is it possible to do "dhcp reservations" on the LAN side, so that I can properly use my routed /48?
If so, how do I do that?

At the Moment there is no possibility to set static dhcpv6 leases. You have to set the ipv6 manually on the Workstations.

I'm not even sure tomato uses DHCPv6 (Reservation is possible) or SLAAC/Autoconfig (means: Router just propagates existind Network + mask, Client self-assigns ipv6 adress. in this circumstance there is not even the possibility for static addresses)

I added "dhcp-host=hostname,[v6address]" in custom dnsmasq config, but the result is the lanside computer, get 2 addresses.

The one assigned in custom config, plus another one assigned by "regular" RA I suppose.

might be that privacy extenstions are active so your Workstation (e.g. Windows behaves like that) automatically assings himself a temporary IPv6 address

    No, thats not it.
I disabled that "feature" on the workstation.

Both addresses are still from my routed /48.

can you paste a wireshark/tcpdump extract for dhcpv6/RA/ICMPv6?

when opening threads such as this, it will be very helpful to all, especially developers, if you can give the version of firmware and compile dat/time (from the "about" page) that you are using.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mr Toastman, no problem.

I'll try to give an update later tonight.
