I'm not sure how to do this but I'd like my router to not respond to any pings by using stealth ports. I tried Alchemy and the Shield's Up site and this worked well, however my router kept locking up and my only way back in was to do a hard reset. Is there away to do the stealth thing with Hyperwart? I'm not to swift with iptables and associated commands.

I've checked my router (2.0b3) with Shield Up - no problems.

With HyperWRT, all ports are stealth. Ping is blocked by default (Security -> Firewall -> "Block Anonymous Internet Requests" must be checked).

 It turned out I had stuck my VOIP phone in the DMZ and that is what Shield's Up was picking up. I have since moved it and opened up the needed ports now all is stealth. Now can I move the VOIP to the QoS for premium without adding anything else and the bandwidth will be optimized for the phone? Currently if I'm DL'ing a large file the phone will break up a lot unless I pause/stop the download.

You can set the Ethernet Port where the VOIP phone is on to High Priority. If that doesn't work you can try to set it's mac address to high priority too.

But I guess it should work, as the linksys QOS is written for VOIP phones.
