There is currently a major problem with Linksys because they do RMA with new products less performant and/or cheaper.

    Examples :
WAG54G is replaced by WAG354G with less features and cheaper
WRT54G is replaced by WRT54G v5 with twice less memory

I suggest to everyone starting a RMA process to insist on the possiblity to get the right product you want and not the cheapest...

Hi, two weeks ago they replaced my one year old WAG54G v1.2 with a new WAG54G v2. No problems with RMA here.

    Hello aprades,

you are very lucky, because I'm waiting since the first september.
When I call them they tell me that I must wait again.

For me the Linksys support is

Linksys must write the exact model/version into "Replacement Unit Information" on the page Obtain the Status of Your Order !
Currently, when your unit status is "Still awaiting your return product" there is no detail...

Well as they no longer make the WAG54G the only way they could send you a replacement would be to use reconditioned ones, then people would be complaining about that

In this case, they must give a choice and do not impose the cheapest...
    I accept the WAG54GX2 for example ! :D
