Strange problem with WRT54GX2

To start off with, I'm using the initial release firmware (1.01.06). I don't want to try upgrading right now unless there was some way to downgrade if I had problems (I've read of wireless dropouts with the new firmware). On the network, I have two laptops using Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG adapters and one laptop using a Linksys WPC54GS (ver 2) using the latest drivers. These three systems have no problems at all. The problem is my desktop with the WMP54GS. Its twofold. If I leave the computer on for awhile (hours and hours) it is no longer able to communicate with the internet and network connections are really slow (think almost a minute to load the router's configuration page). Same thing if I run a sustained download through it for an hour or so. If I attempt to repair the connection on the desktop, everyone completely loses their wireless connection and I have to unplug and plug in the router.

Does anyone know what might be going on? Other than this, we really like the WRT54GX2.

I don't have an answer to the problem but if anyone has or knows where to get firmware 1.01.06 please let me know. I upgraded and hence have drop outs with a sustained connections using my MCE2005 wired and my wireless xbox media center extender.

I have the 1.01.06 firmware although I have not tried downgrading. The filetype is .bix so may need renaming to .bin before flashing.

PM me with your email if your interested and I'll send it.

    Anybody have the 1.01.11 firmware?
