I'm using a WRT54Gv6 and while trying to flash DD-WRT using this tutorial, and after entering management mode and trying to load the second image, i can't access the router. It responds to ping, but no http interface. what should I do?

You want to flash DD-WRT into you router by using these steps ?
If so it wont work. Because that is how to get back original Linksys firmware from DD-WRT.
To flash DD-WRT into your router running on Linksys firmware you need to follow this guide.

To get out of management mode, unplug the power for the router for exactly 10 seconds and replug the power. When in management mode, you can only flash a stock Linksys firmware, not DD-WRT.
