I would think no, except in the v7 models, or whenever Linksys decided to switch to the atheros chipset. Each vendor's idea of speeding up wireless connections is proprietary, so unless you have a broadcom nic, you can't use speedbooster with versions 1-5.

Atheros Super G (or Super AG) is not compatible with Broadcom 125 High Speed Mode (aka Linksys Speedbooster) except when its in standard 802.11g mode.

    Technically known as Afterburner.

Super G is overrated anyway... It just works if all your devices on a wireless net support it. If not, it drops to standard mode. Also, with Super G it seems you are tied to channel 6 (it actually uses channels 6 and 7 I think).

From what I've read, it's something like channels 1/6 or 6/11.

    Actually, technically...

Afterburner: original name (3/2004-6/2004) for 125HSM

125 High Speed Mode (125HSM): current name for Broadcom's 802.11g performance enhancements (renamed from Afterburner in 6/2004)

SpeedBooster: Linksys' brand for 125HSM products

    g+ SuperSpeed: Zyxel's brand for 125HSM products

G Plus and HSM: Belkin's brands for 125HSM products

125Mbps 802.11g: USRobotics' brand (and others) for 125HSM products

Turbo G: Buffalo Technology's brand for 125HSM products
