Had a brief power outage. My internet wasn't responding, nor was it being fixed by my usual methods of solving previous problems like limited connectivity and such. After hardwiring my computer to the cable modem I figured it's something with the router. Turning the router off and on, using the reset button and turning off the cable modem...nothing I've done yet has appeared to get my internet connection to last more than 20 minutes before dropping off again. A quick fix is to unplug the router and start it up again, but it doesn't last past that 20 minute increment. The outage knocked out my settings which I fixed up (the only thing we did was turn off wireless capability,) but I'm out of ideas for fixing this thing. I've been reading around, wondering if maybe I need to replace my firmware, or something along those lines. I'm rather inexperienced with routers so I was hoping someone on here could help explain to me how to solve this problem before I trash this router due to incompetent action, lack of patience, or if trashing it is the only option I have. Thanks in advance.
