Wireless network - rebooting each time it connects

Were having a major problem on a XP (SP2) wireless network as it reboots each time it connects to the network.

    Router is a linksys WRT54G
    Wireless card - linksys WMP54GS
    cable modem
    Xp (sp2)

weve tried it wired from router to pc and the wireless option - both reboot on connection

If we disconnect the router, everything is fine - XP loads without any problems as soon as we power back up the router "boom" (reboot)

We had it running fine before we upgraded to SP2 (brand new re-install) - just run out of options.

I have reset the router and started again
reinstalled the wireless card drivers etc

    Anyone with any clues ?

    thanks

    Jez
