At home on my vista laptop i manually specify my tcp/ip settings. When i am around town on other wireless networks i have to change my settings to allow my ip address to be automatically assigned, thus erasing all of my manual settings. Is there any alternative to re-entering all my ip info every time i come home? Can i install a second tcp/ip protocal or something? any help would be appreciated

XP has this "alternate" setting under TCP/IP. No such thing on Vista? It works by assigning this alternate address/settings if it does not get a DHCP address. (Just takes a while to do so).
