    Hello all,

I have a WRT54G router (flash: v4.71.1, Hyperwrt 2.1b1 + Thibor15c) that is acting as a client connected to a D-Link 624 router at my friends apartment. The D-Link router is connected to the internet. I'm using an external directional antenna connected to the WRT54G but according to Site Survey, RSSI is at best -68dbm and Noise ~95dbm. Usually, SNR is ~20dbm.

My problem is with HTTP. I get a lot of timeouts and only after a few retries the page shows up (sometimes not entirely). I use p2p and speed is great. I can upload/download at 500kb/s but I can't open websites properly.

I did a check with 'netstat' while trying to load a website and the TCP request gets stuck at SYN_SENT. My guess is that i'm not getting the reply back from the other router. I wonder if it's a signal issue or some configuration with either of the routers.

Any ideas on this? Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    mksm
