    Hey guys,

I've managed to flash ddwrt to my WRT160Nv3 (http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT150N_&_WRT160N#WRT160Nv3_Instructions) and then I flashed it to TeddyBear NoUSB Mini (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tom...-K26-1.27.9047MIPSR2-beta16-Mini.rar/download).

I would like to flash it to NoUSB VPN (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tom...26-1.27.9047MIPSR2-beta16-vpn3.6.rar/download)
but when I try and flash to this from NoUSB Mini it doesn't work. It says the MTD is too large or something.

Can anyone let me know if the WRT160Nv3 can handle the NoUSB VPN or the NoUSB Std? Is it limited to the mini. If it's not, what do I need to do in order to get the large firmwares on there.

    Thanks,
    Jonathan

are there any other tomato mods that also support the WRT160Nv3? Since this router only takes the ND can any tomato ND flavour work on this router?
My reason for asking is because on http://victek.is-a-geek.com/tomato.html it states that if the wl0_corerev is large or equal to 7 or 9 it accepts ND. The WRT160Nv3 has a wl0_corerev value of 17.

    Thanks agian

Yes, the No USB standard version will work. I'm using it (tomato-K26-1.27.9047MIPSR2-beta16-Std) on my WRT160n v3.

On the basis of which I have updated the wiki ... did earlier vpn versions fit on 4MB flash?

Sorry, I have no idea - it was the first time I flashed the WRT160n v3. The wiki didn't specify the No USB Mini so I used No USB Std and it just worked. I'm a little surprised to learn I should have tried the Mini version first:)

Guys i am new to openwrt,
    i flashed my wrt160n v3 with dd-wrt and it s working.
i try to flash the totmato moded file for my router it tells me the .trx file is not a valid flash file.
any idea how can i flash it from dd-wrt to that .trx?

    any help is really appreciated.

    no worries

    hey dude,

no worries on your problem. Simply rename the .trx file to .bin and the upload should go well.

The wrt160Nv3 takes the NoUSB mini and the NoUSB std, but not the NoUSB VPN.

Make sure you clear the nvram after you do the upgrade from ddwrt as problems will ensue.

Enjoy the your new great router :)

Thanks a lot for the Help.
i renamed the file, and i did factory default from web menu,
all is perfect thanks a lot.

the only issue i had it keep ask me for the ddwrt password and user name.

what i did is the press the reset button while holding the reset i unplugged the power and plug it back in.
the router kicked in the recover management consol by linksys and they have option for nvram reset :)

i choose it and all went fine.

    thanks for all the help.
