telnet disconnects with firewall

We have an RV082 at a host LAN that receives inbound telnet connections (to a Unix system inside the RV082). With the firewall enabled these connections drop after 30 to 45 minutes; with firewall disabled the telnet connections are stable all day.

We are not using any VPN functionality. We are using NAT with port forwarding for telnet. We have had SBC/AT&T test and upgrade the DSL service at the host LAN and the primary remote LAN as well.

Any idea if there is one component of the firewall causing this problem? Any other thoughts that might be helpful?
