I'd like to know what software, if there is any, that can be used to test throughput from LAN -> WAN, and WAN -> LAN. I want to test DHCP and PPPoE throughput of both settings. Is there anything out there that can do this?

IPERF can be used to test throughput on your WAN>LAN and LAN>WAN. You have to set it on both machines you are testing. You can set it up as a service on the IPERF Server machine. if you typr in IPERF -help, it will supply or the commands you need to know to use the product. If you go to yahoo and search for iperf you can find the site to download it. You should use a -w 128K command to give you a 128KB Window to test with.
