What is the future of HyperWRT firmware when eventually all the V4 and below no longer exist? Is anyone aware of any new Linksys routers or any other mfg. for that matter that will return to a Linux based firmware? I am sure Linksys will throw every roadblock to stop 3rd party firmware. Should I stock up on V4 routers :)
    I need my HYPERWRT!!!

The WRT54GL is the new Linksys linux based router and HyperWRT supports it.

Well HyperWRT is for the "GS" series and so far, they still use Linux, even the current version 5's. So, so far so good. As for the "G" series(which is what Tofu supports), it seems Linksys has seen the demand for a Linux based box and thus, as MarkInDavis said, they have come out with the WRT54GL which is Linux based and supported by the 3rd party firmwares.
