    Hello,

hey Thibor, First off i want to say thanks for your fantastic firmware!

i had tofu 13c and it was solid rock(uptime more than 20days), no slow downs etc..., iam active online gamer, have Ip telefone and p2p user,(with tofu i used a p2p script to make ruter not crash when using p2p)

anyway after update to thibor14 is was ok, i liked it well, maby sometimes slowdowns(not sure)

but after upgrade to 15c, with "clear nvram"(well all 15's versions were unsable on my ruter), Ruter Keeps dieing like every 2 mins when start p2p(with or with out the startup script), it dies(and restart automaticly) and slow, sometime i get problems with to get in to the web interface(slow!), phisically it doesnt seems to have high temp either....,(I check it with my hands only :p)

Swithing back to tofu13c for now.... :(

    Thanks alot :)

    //offtopic
Also i would like to have multi ip support(muti WAN ip i mean) , that will be perfect. no need more futures from the ruter anymore then :p

you should set cpu_overdrive=1 for gv2.2, but if tofu13 works for you i'm pleased.
don't hold you breath waiting for dual wan, coz it isn't gonna happen; not by me anyway :) though you're quite welcome to do it yourself, the sources are freely available

hehe, thats ok, you have already spent alot of time in thibor . I dont have any skils :)

hmm, tofu13c has now worked in over 4 hours without any problems. Web interface is very fast.

how can i set "cpu_overdrive=1" ...is an startup script ?
hmmm nobody in any place saying someting about that .

    thanks

I think this is the proper way to do it.

Log into the router with telnet or ssh, write "nvram set cpu_overdrive=1", press enter and then write "nvram commit". I don’t know if you need to reboot but I may be a good idea. To make sure it worked, write "nvram get cpu_overdrive" and/or "nvram get clkfreq".

goto the administration page. enable telnet. then from your pc startup telnet and logon to your router.

then once your at the cli do the following.

    nvram set cpu_overdrive=1;nvram_commit

this will set the cpu to 216, fix your issues and save to nvram.

if your using winxp just goto the run command and type in

    telnet <IP of router>

    1. Will the Change(OC) get removed when i clear the nvram?
    2. Can i turn the telnet service off in the router after iam done?

Thanks alot, hope the overclocking will not kill my router :)
strage that i havent seen this "fix" in thibor's homepage.

the changlog did list this problem, linksys incororated the overclock feature a while back as a dirty fix, but have now found the problem was with v2.2 units and its ram. thats why v2.2 units have a fix all for you...

    1. Will the Change(OC) get removed when i clear the nvram?

it should do yes. your saving the setting to NVRAM, and clearing NVRAM will erase that setting and only restore default ones.

    2. Can i turn the telnet service off in the router after iam done?

yes. when you click on the START telnet button once it starts , the button then shows STOP.

Its a wonder than people just dont look at the GUI instead of post here. they spend more time looking for help and waiting for replies when really its right in front of you:) hehehe

aha. there.. but as for a newbie its hard to understand, maybe you should put a "special note" for v2.2 under downloads with red text maybe...anyway

Great ! its stable now!..thanks a lot :cheering:

edit: remember I didn't ask how to stop the telnet, but if i could turn if off with out the settings get screwed or something like that...

    Thanks Thibor and Toxic

What is that fix? Only fix I know is overclocking the CPU to 216 MHz.

    Thanks for the reply.
