I was just reading on the main page that a method has been discovered to flash 3rd party firmware to a WRT54G/GS v5 and v6 WITHOUT JTAG!

Any chance you will be releasing a micro version of your firmware, or if this is feasable?

That's fine. I have a GSv2 so I'm not worried. I just have a friend who now has a v5, so I guess he's stuck with Linksys Stock or DD-WRT. Which is OK I guess, only thing is I used to have problems with DD-WRT, which is why I swicthed to Thibor.

Thanks anyway! (P.S. Look Forward to Thibor16!)

Thibor does not have the time to start a new project and it is just that. a micro version is alot of work. He has more priorities with a WRT300N v1 firmware first of all.

I am sure your friend will enjoy dd-wrt v23 sp1 firmware, better than linksys stock code.

Keep in mind that the whole idea with HyperWRT was to do a lightly modded + bugfixes of the origional Linksys firmware.

Doing a micro version would require much more than some light mods and bugfixes.

exactly, though as Thibor say, if someone out there is willing to do it, then go for it.
