    Greetings,

    I just purchased a 54wrtGS V4.

Wondering why two different versions of 3rd party firmware if the hardware of the G and the GS is the same?

The developers concentrated on what Linksys routers they owned and came out with the appropiate firmware for that particular model.

Tofu' s "G" firmware is based off the official Linksys "GL" codebase which does not include "Speedbooster" code.

Thibor's "GS" firmware is based on official Linksys "GS" codebase which includes "Speedbooster" code.

So if you have speedbooster wireless clients and want to use it you should load Thibor's firmware.

Also note that the developers have merged their own special "tweaks" into each others code, so the only difference is what is included in the "official linksys codebase".
