    Hi all

I've installed Hyperwrt 2.1b1/Thibor15c and noticed that in the Basic Setup the DHCP option is not actually shown. I can see all the others, static, PPPOE etc, but automatic DHCP is not listed, just blank line at the top of the drop down.

DHCP client is working, as this is my method to connect, but just wondered if this is normal?

I did clear nvram/ factory defaults before install and afterwards. I installed from DD-WRT.

    thanks

not normal no. my guess is the nvram is still not cleared, or you have antivirus/blocking software that my be affecting the web page itself.

Just tried again. I cleared nvram, then reloaded the firmware, Hyperwrt_G_Thibor15c.bin

But again no DHCP listed in Setup screen. What else can I do? I did upgrade from DD-WRT, not a stock firmware, though I did clear back to defaults.

Also, I have a Linksys WRT-54G CDF5 version, yet in the top right hand corner of the screen, below firmware version, mine reports WRT54GS. Is this correct?

Any other advice to get hyperwrt properly loaded on?

    Cheers
    Richard

what browser are you using? i've seen that safari can affect the way the page is shown, or perhaps you need to clean the cache. don't worry about it reporting itself as a GS, the firmware is built on the GS sources and doesn't make your router a gs, blahblahblah,
in case it wasn't obvious, i've said the same thing quite a few times :)

    Hi

Thanks for the reply. I'm using Firefox 1.0 and Konqueror 3.2.3 on Linux. Both do not show DHCP and the setup screen does not show. I have just tried downgrading to 15b3, same thing. Please see screenshot.

    Cheers

my guess is the browser or some plugin is blocking it. have you tried upgrading Firefox or disabling any browser blockers?

would you possibly be able to enable remote management? we could check this with other browsers at our end to see if it is the Router of your browser. if you want us to do this take it to pm.

btw firefox v2.0 is now out and MUCH better than v1.0 http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

    Hi

Thanks for getting back so quick. I've booted up a live cd with more recent web browsers and to get round any old cache. And it is fine, everything now looks normal, no problems, thanks.

    Cheers

Most probably the HTM Language version not supported by the oldish browsers.
