Do you have a feeling for when you might have a new release ready to go. I have been unable to use 2.2 Prefinal2. Stability issues caused me to fall back to 2.1C

    Target dates??
    Target features/changes??

    Thanks

i'm just working up to the point that i think i can release a new version and just in this moment i do that. so there is no prewarning time *g*
my current time schedule says monday. is that enough?

Do the bugfixes includes the weird pptpd issue? I dont know if anyone has this issue but pptpd on my wrt needed to be start manually using telnet.

Random disconnection when transferring is still bugging me. ~_~

Keep up the good work. But hope DD-WRT wont take too much of your time because I have seen too many programmers out there giving up on personally projects as they fail to properly manage their time.

I am getting what may be related to your 'randon disconnects' with 22 Prefinal2. When I loose my internet access - during long VoIP telephone calls or large file transfer - I look at my route table. The WAN routes are gone. If I manually add them back in ( or re-boot the router) connectivity is OK - for a while.

I hope this has been identified before the next release

It is very hard to identify that's why I decided to term it as "random".

It is very hard to debug, because the router will automatically reboot itself. The only way to spot it is that suddenly most of the application is timeout in the network and before you check your routers, the network is back up.

kinda hard to pin point the problem, logs isnt very useful either.

btw, EWRT 3.0b1 does not have the reboot problem but slight pause in the network is still detectable, but short enough to recover before timeouts.

The weird thing is that EWRT is a fork out of linksys 3.01.3 firmware, but other firmware base on 3.01.3 like Hyperwrt 2.0 final and even the official 3.01.3 firmware have this weird problem.

I am thinking of sticking a heatsink on the mips processor, I wonder if this was an overheating issue. But I highly doubt it would work as monitoring with TOP commands, the router rarely pass 50% cpu usage except during boot.

My router is NOT rebooting - sysuptime would show that. When I loose my WAN connectivity, my WAN routes are gone

Maybe the reboots is caused by AP watchdog, I try disabling it and see what happens.
