    - New TLS code.
    - Active attempt throttling. Thanks to Mr. Ou!
    - New configuration file format.
    - New syntax

Active attempt throttling prevents users from blindly brute-forcing the password.
For the first 3 times, the users are required to wait for at least
    5seconds from the last attempt.
For the 4th and 5th time, there must be at least 20 seconds interval.
The rest requires a minute 'cool down' time to allow the re-authentication.

I will try to have the Windows binary out on 8/6/05 as I need to finalize
    the documentation and help file.
Linksys firmwares will need a bit more testing for us to become more confident.

This firmware is still based off satori?

nope, they are based on the codes from Linksys website.

Anyways, I'm still waiting to hear back from Mr. Alan from FreeRADIUS project.

If I don't hear from him sometime tonight,
I will place the binary in the morning
since I will be traveling tomorrow and Monday.

just a stupid quetion will you need to external server for tiny peap to run?

No, no external server necessary. The Radius server is run right on the WRT. That's the beauty of it. :)

I have another question. If the firmware is not based on Satori anymore, and now based on the latest linksys code, does that mean we lose things like Static DHCP, WDS and all those other extra settings that the hacked firmwares brought with them?

Does this version support multiple challenges and/or act as a radius proxy?

I've been waiting patiently for a couple of weeks for the new binaries, since the posting stating your going to begin releasing them again. What's the timeframe for getting the new versions posted?

I would love to get an answer on the static DHCP option. Is there one? Are you guys gonna add anything extra on the firmware e.g. reboot scheduler, SSH, WDS etc.?

Also, I'm glad that tinyPEAP is getting updated. I love that firmware.

Any ETA on when the newest firmware will be released? I've got a G v3 and a GS v2.1, so I can't use TinyPeap without bricking my routers :-(

    WRT54G 2.2?

so no tinypeap for WRT54G 2.2? I would love to use it but the only routers you can buy now are v2.2+

    tinyPEAP on WRT54GL?

I've heard that the WRT54GL is nothing more than a rebranded WRT54Gv4. Anny chance that someone could fully confirm that tinyPEAP will run on this? (no theories please, just tested confirmation)

No Joy on WRT54GL with TinyPEAP

So far as I can see, WRT54GL has the Linksys version control restriction in it's as-shipped firmware. Until the TinyPEAP firmware is released with a version greater than 3 such that the WRT54GL version control is silenced, TinyPEAP will not work on this router. I was disappointed but I'm waiting petiently for a release that will work. Seeing as I'm sure that I can't be the only one using this router for it's Linux firmware, is this a priority for the TinyPEAP team? Please tell me I won't have to wait much longer. I'd hate to think I wasted my money on this router with my expectation of TinyPEAP support.
