Where took all posting from 5 jan 2013 to today 14 jan 2013 way ?
Yes, I got an email to let me know that certain posts had been made, but when I came to the forum they weren't there...
kthaddock, I am now using a new ID (joew1) since my old one (SteveF) disappeared alongside with my post I started: 'QoS versus BW Limiting'. Do you know what may have happened? A crash maybe? Or hacking? Or what? I appreciate your reply.
I sent an alert about 30min ago to a MOD about a thread I made last night that was there now it is missing.
No reply yet but was there any scheduled maintenance done last night or this morning ?
Yep seems many threads have disappeared.
I tried accessing the board earlier today and received a bunch of errors, most of the time the site wouldn't even respond.
I would guess they restored from a backup. Whether it was due to "normal" corruption or a hacking-related compromise only they know for sure.
Looking into it .. one of us will post something soon...
It's not just threads - I just noticed that my forum avatar that I set a few days ago is now gone.
i'm looking into it. i have raised a call with my providers as I and none of the mods have done anything to remove a large volume of posts. therefore i can only think my host have done a restore on the webserver. I am awaiting a reply.
Thanks for looking into it. Mysteries involving others are always fun to diagnose.
I just wanted to say good luck, we’re all counting on you.
Monk, after applying again for the SAME ID and accepting the fact that my earlier post titled 'QoS versus BW limiting' is gone, I have now no problem accessing the forum and my newly created post again with the same title.
I hope they will be able to recreate most of the stuff.
