    Hi,
I've been playing around with the syslog option for a few days and from my observation i found that i lose connection to my isp very frequently -- every few minutes. As far as I know, syslog does not generate that much traffic as to cause this.

One thing though, is that the syslog server (wallwatcher) is placed in DMZ. Could this be the cause? When I disable syslog, the connection would be stable... connection with isp could last hours (more than 12 at least).

I don't really need the syslog, but I do want to learn about it, and I guess the best way is to enable syslog and see for myself how it works. But at this rate, I probably wont get anywhere as I keep getting disconnected.

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Seems that syslog still runs even after i untick the incoming and outgoing checkboxes under Adminstration > Log. I can see the process still running in ps or top.

other than issuing the kill command, is there another way to turn syslog off?
