Tofu 9 breaks DHCP

Have a new WRT54Gv4 configured for WAN DHCP (not PPPOE) with a DSL bridge (Speedstream 5100b). LAN DHCP server does not give out IP addresses to the wired or wireless computers on the network using tofu9. Works fine with fixed IPs entered into each computer. IP on Linksys is set to, DHCP range .10-.20. Went back to Linksys FW 4.20.7 and all is fine with the same settings.
Update: Reflashed tofu 9 and tried again. Seemed to work for a while, then stopped responding. Started having problems with fixed IPs also. Doesn't like something about my configurations, or something is crashing from being reconfigured a few times between WAP and router? Reboot didn't help. Connection is DHCP, and was trying out tofu 9 with a couple of different routers (Cayman 3220h, Speedstream 5200) and a bridge (Speedstream 5100b), which involved turning the WRT54G DHCP server on and off several times. Back to 4.20.7 for a while.
