    Jon has released Tomato 0.06

    0.06 Changelog

    * Warning: There's a slight change in the bandwidth data file to increase the amount of saved data to 25 months. The older format will be converted automatically, but this change is not compatible with older versions of the firmware. If you're saving this data, backup before upgrading incase you need to go back.
    * Fixed a problem with wet/client not working if started before the AP end was up.
    * Fixed a problem with L7 not working if internal and user patterns are mixed.
    * Fixed connlimit not loading properly.
    * Fixed split syslog file was shown in incorrect order.
    * Fixed a problem with MTU not being clamped correctly.
    * Fixed a problem with device list not listing all wireless devices.
    * Added a work-around for WEP not working if selected key isn't the first key.
    * iptables upgraded to 1.36. Layer 7 patterns updated to 2006-09-10.
    * In BW/Current, some new colors have been added. If it doesn't work immediately after the upgrade, close the browser to reload.
    * In QoS/Detailed View, there's now an option to resolve the destination address. Also, clicking on a row will resolve a single address, clicking it again will start resolving all addresses currently displayed.
    * Other minor changes.

You can get it here http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato

the name's jon, not tofu, that was just the name for his older firmware release

incidentally, are you too having problems with the new option in qos detailed view which automatically resolves hostnames?

Installed it this morning. Looking good.

The problem with IE that I reported earlier (CIFS configuration not displaying) is fixed. :)

    Can't upgrade

Unable to upgrade remotely, which has always worked in the past. Will have to wait and try this tonight when I get home.

The upgrade is getting a couple of minutes into the process and then I observe a URL could not be retrieved message?

Well, I just found an issue with that screen that I'll report to Jon.

I double-click on an entry in the "QOS | View Details" screen, which causes all IP addresses to be resolved. Then I click on "QOS | View Current" BEFORE all of the IP addresses have finished resolving. This causes an error dialog box to pop up which says:

    "Error: SyntaxError: unterminated string literal"

It doesn't seem to hurt anything, however. I just click on "OK" and everything continues normally.

I tried the "click on the connection" and that worked ok... However I never tried the automatically resolve hostname by checking the box...

Loaded a few hours ago. So far so good.

The hostname resolution is very nice. I get the same problem as referenced above (clicking on "View Detail" under "QoS" while resolution is in progress results in the unterminated string literal error). In Linux, I get different errors based on timing (sometimes "mising ] after element list" or various "unknown errors"). But I don't consider that a serious problem. Or even really a problem, since it recovers gracefully.

Everything working nicely, except i get an error (404 error on service.cgi) every time i try to start or stop the telnet or ssh daemon via the admin-access start&stop button

Keep up with the great work!

I emailed Jon and he says this is already fixed in the next version. :)

Update on Tomato v 06 and WRT54G v1.1. Still does not work on a wrt4g v1.1 and I would assume from this v1 as well. Have same symptoms that I posted earlier for previous loads. Have sent the info to Jon.
On the other hand, loaded fine on my wrt54gs v4 and looks fine so far. Only been about an hour.
    Love this firmware.

No need to keep asking this as the developer knows about it and will include it if possible. Read two posts up.

Did anyone else notice a boost in wireless performance with this version? I get much better signals with this version.

Seriously thanks again for the great work, have upgraded and whilst only been a few hours seems to be solid.

    Will watch over coming weeks.

Hmm, I got a slightly better signal with 0.6. From "Sehr Gut" to "Hervorragend".

    Nice :)

OT - can the sticky part of a thread like this be removed (again) as soon as a new version appears? It's pretty useless now v0.07 has been released...
    TIA.

How about keeping one thread titled "Newest Release" or something like that and leave it stickied. This way those interested can subscribe to it to keep informed of new releases?

Ideally I wouldn't be slow off the mark and replace the sticky with the latest release thread.
