Fantastic! This is greatly appreciated ... my v2.2 doesn't have a very good uptime with v1.01 firmware, but I love the Tomato firmware!!

If you're on Windows try downloading / installing 7-Zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
    It's great freeware!
(But you could have found that out yourself on the Tomato-homepage: http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato)

I had this problem also. For some reason, the download is corrupt SOMETIMES. My download would complete, I would open with 7zip, try to extract, and get the same message. After re-downloading numerous times, I noticed that the number of bytes downloaded wasn't anywhere near the filesize as stated on the website.

I simply downloaded again and again until the number of bytes transferred as stated on the download popup window matched the filesize. After that, 7zip worked fine and the tomatoes are flowing like juice through a strainer.

I have been winrar ever since .05 as it automatically recognized the file. 1.04 works just as well as previous versions.

30 mins drop, caused by udhcpc using l2tp, cables

    CPU: BCM4712 rev 1 at 216 MHz

I checked the logs, suffering from wrong password syndrom, and l2tp udhcpc renewal problem.
I try rewriting /tmp/ppp/options using the init script without any success
    Code:

spyderco... the only other thing I can think of clear NVRam and try reconfig... possibly re-flash to 1.04 and then clear again. my PPPoE is more stable with Tomato than any other firmware I have other used.

    tried reflashing and NVRAM

erasing, even tried downgrading to 1.02 1.03 w/o success, also openwrt
I used to be on pppOe but since jan. moved to cables with l2tp and a different username.
tried static IP from ISP and the cables, didnt change. next step will be asking for a dhcp with l2tp/pptp.

how about letting your cable modem handling the authentication, and letting the router handle the qos and NATing instead?

    problem with L2tp cable

    i confirm the problem
i had to switch to the original Linksys firmwate

Tomato fails to establish connection with ISP, though it does get IP address of the L2TP server. I tried manually Release/Renew in vain. Reboot does not help. The problem started after power down - power grid in my area went down, because of heavy rains.

Original Linksys firmware connected without a problem.

The problem is very disappointing. Tomato simplifies my network setup.
