Tomato 1.21 not getting ISP DHCP

I have just installed Tomato 1.21. I am using Shaw cable as the ISP. The router is not picking up an IP from ISP, it stays in constant "renewing..."

I have tried rebooting the router, the cable modem a number of times. Even reset the router - no luck.

When I hook my computer directly to the cable modem, there is no problem getting an IP from the ISP.

    Any suggestions?

Your ISP is probably locked to a single IP per account, which is set up for the MAC address of your PC.

Look up the MAC address of your PC's network card, and put that MAC address into Tomato directly, in the Advanced -> MAC Address -> WAN Port field.

An easy way to do it is to access the Tomato admin page from the PC that you were using, and click the Clone PC button next to WAN Port.

    Best of luck.

All, fixed. Saw on another forum to reboot the modem with the router plugged in - go figure.
